One example began when a customer needed a solution for program-controlled, low-temperature vacuum drying of bacteria and starter cultures. The m360 team combined established Memmert vacuum oven technology with energy-efficient Peltier cooling technology, creating a system capable of vacuum drying at low temperatures. This custom development ultimately became the VOcool, which is now part of Memmert’s standard product portfolio.
In another application, a customer required a maintenance-friendly CO₂ incubator that could be connected directly to a cleanroom. The m360 team replaced the standard door with a flange for integration into the cleanroom, relocated the electronics box to the rear of the unit for easier maintenance and service, and developed a freely positionable controller with a five-meter connection for convenient parameter control. The inner glass door was also adapted to simplify servicing. Together, these modifications created a solution designed around both the customer's process and facility requirements.
These projects demonstrate how m360 can take a specific customer challenge and turn it into an application-focused solution.
