Importance of Shelf life testing
Shelf life testing is critical to understanding safety guidelines for food and pharmaceuticals. Shelf life can be impacted by the product itself, the packaging used for a product and the conditions a product is stored in. Without shelf life testing, consumers would be at risk for serious illness from potentially consuming spoiled, contaminated or damaged products.
The Memmert ICH models provide uniformly constant temperature and humidity homogeneity. Stability tests can run for months or years so reliable, constant temperature for samples is critical to getting the best results.ICH climate chambers cover a temperature range from -10 °C to +60 °C and a relative humidity range from 10% to 80%. In addition, the ICH 260L model can be used to perform photostability tests with daylight and UV light.
